Generosity in Action: CHI Students Support Christchurch Foodbank

At CHI, our students have spent the past few weeks working together to gather donations for the Christchurch Foodbank. Through careful planning, budgeting, and thoughtful decision-making, they chose essential food items that would be most helpful to those in need during the holiday season.

When news broke of stolen food from the Christchurch Foodbank, our students were moved to act quickly. Wanting to make an impact during this challenging time, we decided to donate the items directly to the Foodbank. This morning, students had the opportunity to deliver their generous contributions in person.

Oliver and Fin, two of our dedicated students, took great pride in presenting the items to the Foodbank team. It was heartwarming to see their excitement as they witnessed firsthand the hustle and bustle of the busy Foodbank during this time of year. The experience was a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back to our community, especially during Christmas when the need is greater than ever.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and kindness in supporting this cause. It’s moments like these that truly embody the spirit of generosity and compassion. We are thrilled to share this story with you all, as it’s a beautiful example of the positive impact our school community can make when we come together to help others.
