Business Partners

We have long-standing partnerships with Marsham Court Hotel and Tesco Extra – Bournemouth who work closely with our students to enable them to develop their employability skills and gain an overview of the hospitality industry and retail sectors.

Both offer a wealth of different work experiences such as:

Customer Service

Learn how a busy hotel cares for its guests. Understand the importance of good customer service in the retail sector.

The Restaurant/Catering

Gain hands-on experience on how a successful restaurant operates. Students have the opportunity to work within the café at Tesco.

Maintenance

Gain practical experience with the team that cares for the building.

The Kitchen

Spend time with the chefs at the heart of the hotel’s kitchen.

Gardening

Help the team keep the hotel looking its best year-round.

Housekeeping

Learn about the importance of maintaining high standards in presentation and cleanliness.

Fashion Department

Learn how to manage and display clothing stock, and security of garments.

General Merchandise

Experience how to store, present and manage stock.

Online Shopping

Learn about the importance of the internet in modern retailing and collect internet shopping for customers.

Food Stock Management

Get shop floor experience and learn about the importance of stock rotation and presentation within the food departments: dairy, fruit & vegetables, and non-perishable goods.

We work with many other businesses to support student placements, but we are always looking to expand this offer and are keen to develop relationships with new employers to support our Post 16 offer.

This can be from offering talks, workshops, work placements or experiences of the workplace. If you think you might be able to offer a student a work placement, a site visit or perhaps you would like to come and talk about your area of expertise.

Our current partners have found many benefits of being part of our Post 16 offer and are using the positive effects of being associated with such a forward-thinking approach to training young people.
