Stay and Play

What is it?

A craft-based session for families to attend with their child with a range of crafting activities for siblings.


When does it happen?

Mondays and Wednesdays 10am – 12pm of school holidays (excluding Christmas Holidays)

Who is it for?

For Linwood School children aged 3 to 11 years and their families.


Where is it?

Springwood Campus

Parent/Carer Coffee Morning

What is it?

A coffee morning to meet the family support team and other parents and carers of children with additional needs.


When does it happen?

First Thursday of the month 9:30am – 11:30am


Who is it for?

All Linwood School parents and carers.

Future Thoughts Coffee Morning

What is it?

A coffee morning to meet the IAG (Independent Advice and Guidance) and family support team to talk about future placement options


When does it happen?

Once a term


Who is it for?

For Linwood School parents of Year 7 students and above

My Child Support Group

What is it?

Is a supportive session for Linwood School parents/carers who present as dysregulated (behaviour that challenges).

This support group allows you to share your worries with other parents experiencing the same concerns and can also offer individual support and practical advice.

The session is run by the Family Support and PACE with guest speakers.


When does it happen?

Once a Term
Dates, times, and venues to be posted via Facebook. Sessions are 1 ½ to 2 hours in duration.


Who is it for?

Linwood School parents and carers – places are limited to 10 families (2 adults).

Talking Dads

What is it?

A free parent-led group to provide a safe space for you to share parenting experiences, build resilience and access support.


When does it happen?

Monthly dates, times, and venues to be posted via Facebook.


Who is it for?

All Linwood School male parents, carers and family members (grandads, uncles and adult brothers).

Counselling Support

What is it?

Individual counselling sessions.


When does it happen?

1:1 Slots are available between 9.00am and 1.30pm every Tuesday at Linwood Campus.

Wellness Group

What is it?

This free parent-led support group provides a safe space to share any stresses or worries. The group focus is to help parents/carers enhance their well-being within a supportive group.


When does it happen?

Every Monday (during term time) 9.30am – 11.30am Linwood Family Room


Who is it for?

All Linwood School parents/carers.

Parent Workshops

What is it?

Parent workshops providing information, practical advice and tips on various subjects such as:

  • E-safety
  • Sensory Difference
  • Total Communication
  • Zones of Regulation
  • Fun with Foods
  • Speech and Language

When does it happen?

Once a term dates, times, and venues to be posted via Facebook.


Who is it for?

All Linwood School parents/carers.
