Club Linwood
Club Linwood is funded by Bournemouth and Hampshire Short Breaks and by individual application from Dorset Social Services. Small grants are occasionally offered by private sector funding.
The provision runs for 4 evenings a week term time and 8 weeks of the school holidays.
The Admission Criteria for After School and Holiday Clubs are as follows:
- EHCP awarded
- Age range: Year one – 18th birthday
- All behaviour/ care plans/ medical plans/ communication passports to have been passed to Extended Services before commencing clubs
- Young people will be visited in their school environment by Amanda Hook (Extended Services Manager) and Lorraine Little (Extended Services Leader)
- Extended and provided services team are able to meet the needs of the young person
All of the documents will need to be in place before we are able to consider your child for a place within Extended Services.
Clubs for Families
Our Family Support Worker also offers clubs where parents/carers can attend with their child/family. These include Co-Motion, Arts & Crafts and Swim & Play sessions. For more information, please visit our Family Support page.

Club Details
After School Club
Includes a range of activities for your child to enjoy such as arts & crafts, cooking, soft play and construction. Total Communication is encouraged in all activities. Drink and a snack are provided.
Arts & Movement Club
During these sessions, groups play games and work on themes and topics through drama and movement. Apart from having lots of fun, young people can increase in confidence, become more motivated, improve their communication skills and the list doesn’t stop there! Linwood Arts and Movement Club will get everyone moving and shaking to the beat, including an end of term show for parents to see.
Holiday Club
Includes a range of activities for your child to enjoy such as arts & crafts, cooking, sports, soft/sensory play and construction.
Holiday Clubs are held at Springwood Campus.
Multi-Sports Club
This is a great opportunity for team games as we offer training for basket ball, tennis, rounders, sitting volleyball, kwik-cricket and football.
Music Club
A DJ/Music After School Club at Linwood, working with Richard Newland from Aim Community Org, a charity that supports music and arts in school settings offering DJ/Music Tech sessions. These sessions are ideal for young people who are not necessarily musicians, but are interested in producing and DJ’ing popular and urban genres, such as Dubstep, Grime, Pop, R n B, Drum and Bass, House and Garage. Learn how to make any style of music! Produce slick beats and bass lines using music technology software and get hands on with mobile digital.
