Celebrating Poland Week

It’s Poland Week at Linwood School – the first of our new modern foreign languages and culture focused weeks. At Springwood Campus, our assembly on Monday launched the theme with pupils, students and staff waving Polish flags, listening to traditional Polish music, learning to say Hello and Goodbye in Polish and even dancing in cabbage – emulating a traditional Polish way of making sauerkraut. We’re now looking forward to experiencing more of Polish culture this week and celebrating it with those of Polish origin or heritage among our staff, children, young people and their families.
