Well done to all of our pupils, staff and SLT who were able to attend the ‘BIG Move Dress to Express’ in support of Children’s Mental Health Week, raising funds for the Place2Be Charity on Friday 10 February 2023. We were blessed with a brilliant sunny morning as students and staff from different campuses were able to move around Winton Rec and Fernheath Rec. Throughout the event, we had classes being represented by different campuses of Linwood making it a truly inclusive event for all.
A big thank you to James Banning at Springwood, for organising the BIG Move for Springwood and a big thank you to a number of groups of staff and young people, who helped or supported during the event at Winton Rec especially Summerwood and KS4 students and staff who volunteered their time to support their peers. This includes Miss S and William Sharpe for supplying the music and doing interviews for the school radio station as well as the organisers and drivers from other campuses, who ensured that students and staff were able to be transported safely to Winton Rec and attend. A great whole school effort!
Lastly, a big thank you to all who attended the ‘BIG Move Dress to Express’ event, making it such a huge success with all the funds raised going to Place2be Charity for Children.
